I thank you Arlene and Stacy R. I know God's salvation plan is so simple. It seems satan has got everyone confused. So many people will read into the words of the Bible and just make things up, thinking "it has to be harder than this to be saved". They want to help Jesus, help just in case. They do not realize that they teach a "different" Gospel and Paul says if anyone teaches a different Gospel than "let him be under God's Curse"This is explained by Paul in the first chapter of Galations. Then Galatians 2:4 and I quote "This matter arose because of some false believers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves".and then later on in verse 16 it is very clear false teachers were already coming in the church trying to put them back under the law  and Paul says "know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified".
This is exactly what the people who are telling everyone to make sure they are counted as worthy are trying to do. It is clear it is EXACTLY the same thing. Trying to put Christians under bondage and take away their joy.
 
A person must "rightly divide the Word of truth" as it ssays in IITimothy 2:15. By doing this people will not be confused on the verses they just pull out of context. You must know who the verses are written to in general to fully understand the meaning.
