I am not saying one is correct over the other but I now know how a pre-trib rapture can be taken from that part of scripture. I really never could pin down a "falling away" but departure fits perfectly with the context.
Also it is my understanding that the first 7 english transaltions translated it as departure. The King James for some reason started "the falling away" translation.
 
Now by "rightly dividing the Word" and listening to the correct spokesman for our time it has become much clearer and easy to understand.
