"RE: On this Palm Sunday, it is the same day of the WEEK as it was 1979 years ago, in 33 A.D...."

Hello, All,

Sorry, I got carried away.  I should have said that in 33 A.D., Nisan 9 was on a Sunday--and so it is with this year.  Go ahead and laugh, you lot who have no sense of Yuma.  [From San Diego, California, USA, it's straight east on Interstate 8, and right across the border with Arizona.]

I'm just a half-wit preaching about Jesus.  All Glory, Honor, and Praise to Jesus Christ, who, after He finished His appointed task on Earth, proclaimed, "Tetelestai," "It is accomplished, as ordered," died, was buried, rose from the dead on the third day [Sunday, April 5, 33 A.D.], was seen by many for 40 days, ascended into Heaven and sat down at the right hand of the Most High.

Despite my low standing among mortals,
"1I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he appears to set up his Kingdom: 2Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

3For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4They will reject the truth and chase after myths.

5But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you."

2 Timothy 4:1-5  NLT

Subject: On this Palm Sunday, it is the same Gregorian day of the year as it was 1979 years ago, in 33 A.D....

Hello, John and Doves,
CORRECTED TEXT IN RED

On this Palm Sunday, it is the same  DAY OF THE WEEK as it was 1979 years ago, in 33 A.D., when the people unwittingly selected Jesus Christ as their Passover Lamb.
"None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."
1 Corinthians 2:8  NIV

Once again, the world has a chance to accept or reject Jesus Christ as their Savior.

“For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit….”

1 Peter 3:18  NAS

Palm Sunday, this year is also April 1, 2012.

"For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

    "For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom;

"but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks [fn] foolishness,

"but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

"Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men."

1 Corinthians 1:21-25

"...Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: "So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge." [fn]

Romans 3:4  NIV

"For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God."

2 Cor 1:20  NIV

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

"Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

"Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

"To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen."

1 Peter 5:6-11  NIV

Now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you without blemish before the presence of his glory with rejoicing, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and for ever. Amen.
(Jude 24,25)

So, you want a revival, do you?  Well, glory to God, it's going to start on April Fool's Day, when nobody's looking.  Is this what you were looking for, lj?
