"RE:  Mary Ames--49 or 50?"

Hello, John and Doves,

The last jubilee year can be proven to have been 1966-1967, namely 5727.  We are now in 5772, so that was 45 years ago--by Jewish reckoning.

If the next Jubilee must be 50 years from the last one, then the next jubilee must be in 5777, because 5727 plus 50 is eternally 5777.  However, it is also true that a covenant with many was made on Wednesday, October 29, 2008.  It was confirmed on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 when the AC, BHO, was elected POTUS [albeit illegally].

That means that whoever embraces the 50-year theory would have the 70th week of Daniel [which demonstrably began on Wednesday, October 29, 2008--see http://www.fivedoves.com/ac/kevinh1214.htm] last until Yom Kippur, 5777, which is October 12, 2016.  This quantifies a 70th week of two thousand, nine hundred, and five days [2,905 days] from Wednesday, October 29, 2008 to Wednesday, October 12, 2016.  http://www.timeanddate.com/date/durationresult.html?m1=10&d1=29&y1=2008&m2=10&d2=12&y2=2016

Eight Days a Week was a Beatles song!!!  One Beatle was assassinated after he said that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ!!!  The only times that eight days are mentioned in the Tanakh, the count is always from and including one Sabbath to and including the very next Sabbath, seven days later!!!

Thus, eight days for Daniel's seventieth week is untenable, given the "times, time, and half a time" of Daniel 7:25, Revelation 12:14, and Daniel 12:7, and given that the Jubilee must follow a Sabbath year.  Clearly, half of 8 is 4.  God can count.  Therefore, since twice "times, time, and half a time" is seven "times," let me give the following illustration, seeing that God is punctilious.  [Else, if God is not punctilious, then why the discussion of 49 or 50????]

Fact:  7 x 360 = 2,520

See:  http://endtimepilgrim.org/70wks8.htm for the 360 day prophetic year.

Calculation results

    From date:Wednesday, October 29, 2008

    Added 2520 days

Resulting date: Wednesday, September 23, 2015--10 Tishrei 5776, which is Yom Kippur and the start of the 70th Jubilee from when the children of Israel entered the promised land.

"RE: Michael Colunga and Bruce Warner on the 50 year Jubilee cycle"

Hey guys--I have been on both sides of this argument.

Is the Jubilee cycle a 50 year cycle or 49 year cycle?

I believe the answer is clear and lies in Lev 25:3-4:

You shall sow your field six years, and you shall prune your vineyard six years, and shall gather its produce.  (4)  And in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest to the land, a sabbath to YHWH. You shall not sow your field, and you shall not prune your vineyard.

If you begin a 49-year cycle with the Jubilee, then because of the prohibitions in the Jubilee year, you cannot "sow your field six years and prune your vineyard six years" in that first set of years. You would only be able to do that for five years during the first seven years--because the first year would be a Jubilee and the last year would be a land sabbath.

That doesn't make sense and it is not in keeping with YHWH's symmetry.  He would not make a rule we cannot follow.

The Jubilee cycle is 50 years, not 49.

Blessings,

Mary Ames
