Hello Donna,
I read your response to PattiC. You made a statement: I do believe there were giants, but they were not
the result of fallen angels
Let me ask you a question; how does the sons of Seth, and the
daughters of Cain, produce giants that can exceed 30 feet in
height?
Amos 2:9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose
height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as
the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots
from beneath.
An average cedar tree is 30-70 feet in height. Even
going by the smallest example, 30 feet, how is it possible for
two people to produce such a giant?
Something more was going on here...
Keep in mind this is God speaking in this verse, God
has no need to exaggerate, or distort the facts. In fact by
doing so, would mean God is capable of lying. Which is utterly
impossible.
Even King Og, was around 14 feet tall. Deuteronomy
3:11 For only Og king of Bashan remained of the
remnant of giants; behold his bedstead was a bedstead of iron;
is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was
the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the
cubit of a man.
A cubit is 18 inches, a royal cubit is 21 inches. So going by
the standard cubit, this man is around 14 feet in height.
Another question I'd like to ask you is this; why are a
certain group of angels bound in chains until the great day of
judgement, while Satan and others are not?
What did this group do that warranted them to be bound in
chains? Those who believe the sons of God aka Bene' Elohim to be
angels, know this is the group that had rebelled against God and
produced the giants. However, those who believe the sons of God,
are the sons of Seth, have no answer for this question.
Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate,
but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting
chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
These are the generations of
Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and
Noah walked with God. The Hebrew word for perfect in this
verse is "tamiym", which means: complete, whole, entire, sound.
It means Noah was untainted genetically, pure in stock.
I prayerfully ask you to search this matter out indepthly. God
Bless
