"A
simple question"
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the
unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
" elegcho" which means reprove, rebuke, convict.
If we are ignorant of the workings of darkness, how can we
reprove them? The occult for example has heavily invaded many
churches. An example would be soaking prayer, or also known as
contemplative prayer. This is transcendental meditation, which
has been practiced in yoga, and hinduism for thousands of years.
By repeating a mantra like "ohm" over and over until you reach
an alpha state of consciousness. Except in the "christianized"
version, you say Jesus, or some prayer, over and over again.
This is in direct disobedience to the instruction of Jesus.
Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the
heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their
much speaking.
As a christian I believe we should always be informed, and by
being informed; we can expose the workings of darkness.
