Hi:

To Me, his ministry was from the time he stood up in the synagogue in Nazareth and read from Isa 61.1. However, I think Jesus read it on the Day of Atonement (Tishri 10, in our 27 AD) near his 30th birthday (Tishri 1) to announce the coming Acceptable Year, the Jubilee Year, our 28 AD. I think he was crucified on Thursday, Nisan 13, 3790, April 6, 30 AD (Julian) the preparation of the Passover. He came back on Resurrection Day, April 9, because he will return at the Second Advent on April 9, Nisan 1, 5776. I think he ascended on Ascension Day (Omer 40) because he will come get us at the Rapture on next Ascension Day, Omer 40, May 17, 2012.

Job 11:6 says, “And that he (God, i.e, Christ) would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is!”

I think the two that appeared by the candlestick in Zech 4 were Moses and Elijah, because they stood by Jesus, the Lord of the whole Earth, at his Transfiguration.

Mat 17:1-3 says, “And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, 2  And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. 3  And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.”

Zec 4:11-14 says, “Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? 12  And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? 13  And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. 14  Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”

I expect Moses and Elijah to return on Ascension Day or Pentecost.

It was the Acceptable Year of the Lord.

Isaiah 61:1-4 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; [2] To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; [3] To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

[4] And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.”

Jesus referred to this in Luke when he stood up in the Temple and read from Isaiah.

Luke 4:18-21 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, [19] To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. [20] And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. [21] And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”

The “Acceptable Year” was the year he was crucified and arose from the dead. The length of his ministry was from the time he stood up in the Temple. I suppose the combination of John’s and His ministry was three and a half years for they were the two witnesses or candlesticks that poured out their golden oil.

Zechariah 4:12 “And I answered again, and said unto him, What are these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?”

John was the messenger and Jesus was the message or Messiah or Anointed One…take your pick.

Song 2:10-13 “My beloved spoke, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; The fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.”

So when, in the arbor, do the grapes smell good? Is this when we ‘come and dine’?
