NCAA Tournament game symbolic of real madness in America
The basketball game between Western Kentucky and Mississippi
Valley State that the president watched between talking politics
and stuffing his face is symbolism at its best. Western Kentucky
is the only team in the NCAA tournament with a losing record.
The Hilltoppers were down 16 points and rallied in the last
seconds of the game to win, despite shooting only 30% from the
field and 28 turnovers. Mississippi Valley State with a record
of 21-13 was totally embarrassed. Western Kentucky is symbolic
of Congress and the White House on the way to victory in
November despite a losing effort. Mississippi Valley State is
symbolic of the American people who have the talent to stop
them, but haven't the will to do it.
Read the headlines. Have you ever wondered why things are not
getting better? The news media excuses the man who occupies the
Oval Office by saying he doesn't have control over gas prices.
In reality, the architect helping Islamists destabilize the
entire Middle East should expect high prices. Now the
Congressional Budget Office is saying socialized healthcare will
cost $1.76 trillion over then next decade, twice what was
originally pitched to taxpayers. The president is seen munching
down hot dogs with British Prime Minister David Cameron at an
NCAA basketball game--cost to taxpayers: over $365,000. America
is being looted. Neither Congress, the media, nor the people
find this unacceptable?
The Founders of this country based our Republican form of
government on the Biblical principle found in Exodus 18:21,
which says, "Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people
able men, such as fear YHVH, men of truth, hating covetousness;
and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, and rulers
of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens." Perhaps
John Jay, first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, summed it up
best when he said, "Providence has given our people the choice
of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as privilege and
interest, of a Christian nation to select and prefer Christians
for their rulers." And herein lies the problem.
The Christian community at large in America has been chasing too
many self indulgent, extra-Biblical and emotional doctrines of
men to be concerned with the decay of this nation. This is
reflected even in the quality of candidates running for office.
Unless the Christian community collectively repents, raises the
standard of righteousness, and reestablishes accountability in
all aspects of life, this nation will continue its downfall, for
it is truly a reflection of the people. If it makes you angry
that your life, liberty and happiness are not what they ought to
be, a good start is found in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the
kingdom of YHVH, and his righteousness; and all these things
shall be added unto you." We need to get back to our first love,
otherwise we will perish as a people and as a nation.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!
