"John B. - RE: Retraction Accepted"

John B.,
While I did not expect an apology, I only asked for a retraction for misquoting me to Ron Reese and so that others would not be confused.  You implied that I agreed with your hypothesis that the 666 number is specifically the number of the False Prophet, which I do not and did not.  I am disturbed that you intentionally misled by “false pretenses”.  I have no problem with a proper discussion.  However, don't pretend to be seeking truth when it is really your private and dogmatic interpretation you intend to interpose on everyone.  I originally ignored the first email that was forwarded to me regarding this subject, trying to avoid such an imprudent question that I knew would only confuse others.  I also knew by the tone that it was your intention to provoke strife.  You addressed your supposed “confusion” to me directly in the first post and I responded.  I would have left it at that had you not publically misrepresented my response in your post to Mr. Reese.  I’m not so sure the Christian process of rightly dividing God’s Word involves injecting “disagreement” to “make people focus”.  Paul says to prove all things and hold fast to that which is good.  Seeking approval of peers is good.  Seeking God’s favor is better.  Doting about questions and strifes of words does not nurture godly doctrine.  Obsession with a personal interpretation and demanding that others pay attention is not conducive to spreading the Gospel.  In fact, the AC vs. False Prophet =666 debate will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to save a lost soul. In the grand scheme this uncommon argument has little value for the Kingdom of God.  I hope you will come to see that.  What are we fishing for?
The hyperlexic are very capable of decoding words, sentences and language in general whereas the opposite is true of the dyslexic.  In my judgment, you are overtly substituting one entity for another in your reading of the end of Revelation 13, obfuscating the entire passage; hence my acerbic "dyslexic" question.  Understanding the intention of verse 17 and 18 shouldn’t take a great deal of perspicacity.
·         In verse 17 the Bible warns against taking the number of the Beast, which we both agree is in reference to the Antichrist.  What is the Number of the Antichrist then?
·         In verse 18 the Bible gives the wisdom of what that number would be:  666 .   If the Antichrist's Number isn't 666, what is his Number?
You rail against satanic deception (which you should) and then admit involving me under false pretenses as well as misrepresenting my position.  Be careful not to oppose yourself.  One necessary component for discerning truth is also being honest with your own self.  Advancing your hypothesis by the devil’s tactics won’t enhance your credibility with other Christians at the very least and will dishonor God at the very most.  This will be my last post regarding your position on this ill-conceived issue.  I hope you don’t lose your zeal for study but I do hope your motivation is well placed.  Blessings to you.
In Christ,
Kevin H.
2 Timothy 2:14-15 ASV - Of these things put them in remembrance, charging [them] in the sight of the Lord, that they strive not about words, to no profit, to the subverting of them that hear.  Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth.

P.S.  I've not been force feeding you that Obama is the AC.  I've never said that he unequivocally is.  On the other hand I have no Biblical reason to believe the impossibility, especially EXCLUDING the number stuff.
