Dear Mariel,
 
Your letter touched me so much.  I have been praying for you since I first saw your posts a number of months ago.  While my situation is not as serious as yours, I too have been struggling with chronic health issues for years and am now scheduled for a surgery March 22  that I didn't want to have and have fought against for years.  I, too, was so hopeful that the Rapture would come first.
 
Here is what I am praying for you:
 
Lord,
Go before Mariel and prepare the way.  Let every doctor, nurse, or technician that treats her by guided by Your Spirit.  Let the treatment do only what it is supposed to do and nothing more.  Surround her with Your perfect peace and let her know that You are right there with her.  Cover her with Your precious blood and grant her complete healing.  In Jesus' precious Name.  Amen.

I have written these verses on an index card and plan to take them with me to the hospital and keep them as long as they will let me before they take me to surgery so I can keep reading them!
 
I am reminding myself that the Lord promised in both the Psalms and Joshua that He is always with us wherever we go.
 
I have been participating in a Bible study on the book of James.  This morning the reading was James 5:7 -11.  It was a great encouragement to me also.  I too am facing this without human support, but I am counting on the Lord to be my support.
