Arlene, whoa there!  You might want to reevaluate your interpretation of Rev. 2:9.  These people who say they are Jews but are of the synagogue of satan have nothing to do with claiming to be a Jew in the sense that your are referring to. This was a message to those people calling themselves Jews who not only rejected Messiah, but also persecuted the people of Smyrna.  

 

The term "Jew" does not represent a race of people nor a combination of Race/Religion. To be a Jew is a matter of faith ONLY.  Don't believe me?  Romans 2:28-29 says ^"28 A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. ²⁹ No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God.  This verse clearly shows that we are circumcised of the heart, we are in fact TRUE Jews.  Being a descendant of Abraham only makes you a Hebrew, not a Jew.  Trusting in Jesus makes you a Jew (Paul's emphasis here, not mine).

 

See the irony of the verse you quoted?  Those Jews without true faith is where the condemnation resides.  Again, Paul defines a Jew as not one who is a physical Jew, but instead one circumcised of heart.  Are you circumcised of Heart?  Tell me, if you are then what are you?  If you aren't, I would seek being a Jew real fast.  After all, Yeshua is King of the Jews and He is returning soon.
