I am glad that you enjoyed my post on the seven seals. You asked me.... "where did you learn this from"? (meaning the material I put in my post) and I can honestly say...directly from the Lord. What I mean is that I just read a passage of the bible over and over........ask the Lord for wisdom.....inject some common sense..... and as He has promised, He will provide clarity of meaning. He is the master teacher. In all ways superior to what passes as teachers and pastors from today's reality. The majority of them are ministers of Satan. And if you think I am exaggerating look at all the main line Protestant churches and their stances on homosexuality and same sex marriage. I won't even try to list the litany of abominations of the Catholic Church it would take hundreds of pages. Many, many non-affiliated Christian Churches have sprung up and their beliefs are all over the board depending on who the pastor is. They get a lot of their material for study and teaching from Mega Churches and ministries like Rick Warren and Joel Olsten who are also way off from God's mark. You don't realize how far off the mark they are until you read newsletters from ministries like "The Berean Call" who monitor such things.Hardly a week goes by on the Doves site that I haven't read several posts of Doves complaining that they cannot find a home church that doesn't play "fast and loose" with God's Word or are not in some way teaching or acting in blasphemous ways. I believe when you read Timothy and other passages that God warned us that it would be just this way...... at this time.Count me in as one of the Doves who can't find a church that hasn't compromised itself. And it wasn't for lack of trying. We (my wife and I) spend large amounts of time in our own personal bible studies and that is our church. I am retired so I have that luxury. I am not advocating that people do the same but it works for us. The more you read the bible and read sites like Doves, the more you understand how Satan is winning the church war. He has infiltrated all aspects of the so called Christian Church and he is winning on all fronts.....my opinion. I always liked John Hagee's approach to a church preaching non-biblical heresies.....He said..."Don't walk out the door....run".Kathy, you asked my thoughts on the 10 days of tribulation spoken of in Rev.? You also asked me if it was ten days of great tribulation?A little background.......Jesus was personally giving John the Revelator a guided tour of the many happenings that would transpire from 95AD until the end of the reign of Christ some 3000 years in the future. Picture a parade going by with Jesus mc-ing the parade for John. The start of the parade is the events of 95AD and the end of the parade the events from approx. 3000 AD+. During the early stages of the parade (at the time when John was alive) there were seven new churches located in Asia Minor (Greece) started by the apostles (primarily Paul) and named after seven towns in the area. These churches were started in a very tuff neighborhood so to speak, it was Satan's playground. In fact one of the towns was the throne of Satan.Jesus told John that in one of these towns Smyrna, that the Christian church that was started there would run up against people who would claim to be Jews but were actually working for Satan. It appears that these early Christians put their trust in these fake Jews and "some" were tricked and imprisoned for ten days. Jesus promised them that if any died for Him that He would give them the crown of life (eternal life) and I believe after the rapture..... a literal crown will be given to them designating that they died for Jesus. Kind of like a purple heart only a whole lot better. This was the literal meaning of the ten days. I am sure that there are some that will try to project these ten days somehow into the seven year tribulation period (approx. 2000 years later) for some figurative or literal meaning but I personally don't have one. Our Lord is a Lord of order and numbers so there is probably something very significant about ten days but I know not what it is..... nor has He shared anything concerning this with me.The important thing is that......I just think Jesus wanted everyone to know that if we put our life on the line for Him at whatever time in history that we would never ever be sorry in the end.Blessings Kathy........John B
