"Re: Sandra Jean and Rick Warren's quote"

This is the quote from Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren page 286. It has nothing to do with prophecy. Prophecy is something you look "forward" to.

Luke 9:62 "But Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."

Lot's wife looked back, longing to see her family, and she turned to a pillar of salt.

I think we can still watch and look forward to his soon coming. The endtime signs are everywhere.

When Jesus came the first time his very own priests misunderstood the signs that had been appearing in the sun, moon, stars and his sudden appearing in the temple when he was only 12 years old. That was prophesied in Malachi.

Malachi 3:1 "Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the [New} covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts."

John the Baptist was the messenger to prepare the way and Jesus was the [message] messenger of the [New] covenant.

We cannot make Jesus come early, or late. There was an appointed time for him to come the first time and there is also an appointed time for the second coming. That is, when the Gentiles have all been evangelized or given the message of Jesus and his love. The message was for the Jew first, and now the Gentile.

Eccles. 3:1-3 [ASV] "For everything there is a season, and a time for very purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;"

Luke 21:24 "And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled."

I take this to mean that the Promised Seed was for Abramham's children until that "Seed" came and they rejected Him. Therefore the message went out to all the tribes of the world: that included Jews and Gentiles. The cutoff date will be when the Gentiles have been given the same amount of time that Abraham's descendants had. That makes Abraham's descendants having twice the amount of time than the Gentiles. But each generation is only ca. 70 years!!!!

Habakkuk 2:3, 20 "For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." "But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him."

2 Cor. 6:16 "ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."

1 Cor. 6:19 "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?"

Joel 2:28 "it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:"

After what? Does this mean that after Jesus came the first time, God is going to multiply dreams and visions on all tribes of the earth? Even into the dark continents of Africa and Asia? I've been reading about these dreams and visions coming from all around the world. I think God intends to get the message out even if he has to use a donkey or the breeze blowing through the trees. Everyone is going to have a chance to accept, or reject. We are rushing toward the end of the race.

May God Bless You All, jfh
