"A Day of Darkness and
Gloominess"
I do not know about your area of the
country you live in but, where I live almost every day or two or
three, there are heavy clouds and dark clouds, several people
have remarked how over cast and dark the sky appears. This ran
through my mind, and sure enough the Lord speaks about this in
His word. In Joel 2:1-2, Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound
an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the
land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at
hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and
of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountain: a
great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like,
neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many
generations.
Then in Zephaniah 1:15, That day is a day of wrath, a day of
trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day
of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness.
I guess my point is, we are surely close to that day of wrath.
We need to be looking up, for our redemption is surely drawing
nigh!
May the Lord Jesus Bless You All.
