I too have heard a "hum" sound outside and thought it most unusal. I have read about solar flares, etc. and possible explanations but the best explanation is of course, from God's Word!

(Jer. 25: 31)

31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD.

The sound is readying ears that are open to his voice!
