It is not unusual for me to be inconversation with friends in Jerusalem within the 60's (age group) and somewhere in the conversation the subject comes up of Holocaust survivors and that these men all fought in most of Israel's wars.Theyhave lost family members and good friends in these wars and one, if not both, of their parents have numbers tattooed on their arms.
