"Rowina - going to Mayo"

Dear Rowina,  I read your letter with sadness that you are having to make this trip to Mayo after-all.  I looked up each disease to acquaint myself with what it is that you are facing.  I can see what, now, you mean by this injection may have consequences on your Genetically inherieted disease of porphyria.

I will join in prayer with others (I'm sure there will be many others) for your safe journey coming and going and that this  injection will not over-power the existing genetic disease but  make it possible for you to enjoy the days ahead as we await the Rapture.  love & prayers Rowina,   We are in His Hands!  gerlinda

"Pray for me--going to Mayo"

Going to Mayo clinic next week for radiation treatment. Have thought about it at least a year. It was first suggested three years ago. It's p32, radioactive phosphorus and it is given in a shot. It lowers one's platelets. Mine are more than four times normal. I have hoped the rapture would come before I had to do this. This is my last
chance to do it, as the doctors are fed up with my waffling. I wish God had healed me instead of having this. There is no natural way to fix this situation. Only chemo (which I tried 7 of) or God's intervention could help it. No one knows why it starts but it is rare.

Since I have another long term genetic disease, Porphyria, this is scary. Most people don't have any side effects. I will be able to come home immediately. But I have to go and come all by myself. I have no family who would go, no friend, nobody. I'm all alone with Jesus on this trip, but I could use some prayer support.
Treatment will be given Wednesday.

A year ago I asked God if i should go, and put up a "fleece", that God would send a rabbit to my back yard if he wanted me to go to Mayo. I had not had any rabbits for six months, and missed them. Then I thought, well this is superstitious, doing a fleece, I take it back! But when I walked into the living room, outside was a really huge rabbit sitting on his haunches and looking at me while he chewed my grass. After that I had rabbits almost every day, coming to eat in my backyard. But now they
have been missing for months again.

Since I took back the fleece, I do not know if this really was an answer to a fleece. And so I hesitated, and then there was a glitch why i did not go four months ago.

So my friends the Doves, pray for my trip alone and back, my lack of fear at the treatment, and all good things, and that the doctor may be capable. And for all Doves who also need healing.

Mariel
