Catherine Ashton of the European External Action Service, is capable of charting a role for the European Union to play, one that would serve democratic aspirations and place Europe on the map as a political player and as a partner.

That day, it crossed the “point of no return,” as long years of political correctness and currying favor with the Arab world prompted the final burial of the continent’s liberal discourse, which has become a twisted, meaningless absurdity.  Indeed, the time has come to say goodbye to the Europe we once knew.

Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni each criticized EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton on Tuesday for relating the murder of French Jews in Toulouse with "what is happening in Gaza."

Several synonyms of the word glorious- Grandious-characterised by greatness of scope, important, pompous. Historied- a notable history, an oustanding, important past. Renown- widely acclaimed and honored.''

In a medieval hall which has witnessed so much of the country's history, the Queen responded to tributes marking her glorious 60-year reign.

LONDON-  Glittering carriages. Gun salutes. Naval escorts.

Buckingham Palace and the military have released details on the pomp and pageantry on the central weekend celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee, and it features much of what makes Britain so famous for state occasions.

British MPs and peers presented Queen Elizabeth with a stained glass window which they commissioned for her diamond jubilee. It will be fitted above the main entrance to Westminster Hall, and features the Queen's coat of arms.

The Speaker of the Commons, John Bercow spoke of how proud MPs were to contribute to the window, saying: "Time is better preserved in this historic place than in fallible human memory."

 

The Prophet Daniel couldn't have hit the nail on the head any better.
