Notice God is the one that brought Job up not Satan, Satan became and instrument of God to test Jobs fear of God. Satan didnt come to get permission to hit Job. Scripture does not say why Satan went there.

 

Job 1

 

6-Now on a day when the children of God

came and stood before the Lord, Satan came also

among them.

 

Does not say Satan showed up surprisingly. How could anyone spirit or flesh move anywhere and it is a surprise to God?

 

 

7-Then the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest
thou? And Satan answered the Lord, saying, From
compassing the earth to and fro, and from walking
in it.

 

8-And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou not
considered my servant Job, how none is like him in
the earth? an upright and just man, one that feareth
God, and escheweth evil?

 

Talk about hitting someone is a soft spot. The most Godly upright, God fearing Sevant of God in all the Earth. Satan jumped at that like an eitheopian on a Big Mac.
 
God is putting out the bait as it were. God brings Satans attention to Job. Why have you not considered my serveant Job he is the most God fearing, faithful and loyal servant in all the earth he hates all evil (escheweth).

 

9-Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth
Job fear God for nought?  nought- 0, nothing.

 

10-Hast thou not made an hedge about him and
about his house, and about all that he hath on every
side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and
his substance is increased in the land.

 

Job fears God for no reason. You put your protection and blessing on him and all he has.

 

11-But stretch out now thine hand and touch all
that he hath, to see if he will not blaspheme thee to
thy face.

 

Satan takes it and runs with it. Remove your protection on Job and let me hammer him, I can make him curse you to your face.

 

12-Then the Lord said unto Satan, Lo, all that he
hath is in thine hand: only upon himself shalt thou
not stretch out thine hand. So Satan departed from
the presence of the Lord.

 

The testing Starts. We all know how it ended God is right Satan is wrong.
