Hi Arlene,
"So, then, perhaps the
whole of the (two) witnesses are the true Bible
Doctrines going throughout the world during this
time by all the selected people whom God chooses
to remain behind. Most will be killed during this
time and not allowed to be buried...but all will
be resurrected prior to the short time of God's
wrath at the end of the 1260 days. And then, at
the Second Coming, ALL "Israel" shall be
saved....all Israel means all of the saved through
all the ages. This includes those believing in the
"hope" of the Messiah by faith and obedience in
the OT, and those who believe by faith and works
in the NT."
Please
consider first that in Rev. 11:3-12, we find
that the two witnesses are clothed in sackcloth in
verse 3. In verse 5 if any man hurt them,
fire proceedeth out of their mouth and devoureth
their enemies: and if any man hurt them, he must
in this manner be killed. In verse 7, the
two witnesses are killed after 42 months of
testimony. In verse 8, their dead bodies
shall lie in the street. In verse 9, all the
people see their dead bodies for 3 1/2 days.
Then in verse 10 the two witnesses are called two
prophets that tormented them that dwelt on
earth. Then in verse 11, after 3 1/2
days the Spirit of life from God entered into
them, and they stood upon their feet. In
verse 12, the two witnesses are told, Come up
hither, and they ascended up to heaven in a cloud,
and their enemies beheld them.
Having read all
that in the above paragraph, I think that the
two witnesses are two men rather than being "the (two) witnesses are the true
Bible Doctrines going throughout the world
during this time by all the selected people whom
God chooses to remain behind." Will the true Bible doctrines
(Old Testament & New Testament) be
clothed in sackcloth in verse 3? Will
literal fire proceed from the mouth of the
OT & NT to kill someone if someone hurts
the OT & NT in verse 5? Will the
OT & NT be killed after 42 months of
testimony in verse 7? NO, because
Jesus said in John 6:63, "It is the spirit
that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth
nothing: the words that I speak unto you,
they are spirit, and they are
life." Will the two witnesses who are
called two prophets in verse 10 be two true
Bible doctrines (OT & NT or two
men)? The OT & NT contain
many prophetic books, but I think it is
referring to two men. Does the
OT & NT have feet to stand on in
verse 11? Will the dead
bodies of the OT & NT lie in the street
for 3 1/2 days and be resurrected from the
dead and ascend into heaven in verse
12? The OT & NT can't be killed
like two human beings can be killed so this
is why I think that the two witnesses
are two men rather than "the (two) witnesses are
the true Bible Doctrines going throughout
the world during this time by all the
selected people whom God chooses to remain
behind." Of course, I realize
that when you posted your article,
Arlene, that you weren't imagining the
Bible (OT & NT) as I pictured them
in the above scenarios so I hope that it
gives you a good chuckle. :)
In your
post you also stated that "The fleeing
"woman" symbolizes the church people
who are left behind.....but they are
still saved and are "spiritual
Israel." I wonder why the
left behind church would be fed for 1260 days in
the wilderness if she really is the fleeing
woman. If you read Matthew 24:48-51,
the evil servant is appointed a portion
with the hypocrites, and there shall be
weeping and gnashing of teeth. It sounds
like he is left behind in the great
tribulation period. In Luke
12:45-47, the unfaithful servant is appointed a
portion with the unbelievers. He is beaten
with many stripes if he knew his lord's will,
and prepared himself not (like the unrepentant
Laodicean church). To me, it doesn't sound like
the unfaithful, left behind Laodicean
church is the same woman that is being fed
there in the wilderness for 1260 days.
