"REPLY TO ARLENE --
NOAH, THE FATHER'S NAKEDNESS"
Genesis 9:21 tells us about Noah
becoming drunk, and HE (Noah) was uncovered within his
tent. It makes no mention of Noah's wife being uncovered
and naked in the tent and having sex with her son Ham.
Genesis 9:22 then proceeds to tell us that Ham, the father of
Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two
brethren without. If Genesis 9:21 was left out of the
Bible, then I could see how both you and Patti C. came to the
conclusion that the "father's nakedness" described in Genesis
9:22 might possibly be the nakedness of Noah's wife from reading
Leviticus 18:8...."The nakedness of they father's wife shalt
thou not uncover; it is thy father's nakedness." However, we are
not supposed to add or leave out verses from the Bible so that's
why I still disagree with the idea that the father's nakedness
was Noah's wife having sex with Ham, her son, because the
nakedness of Noah portrayed in Genesis 9:21 is still the same
nakedness of Noah portrayed in Genesis 9:22.
