In the account of our Lord Jesus Christ's transfiguration on the mountain, his disciples Peter, James, and James' brother John saw Moses and Elias (Elijah) talking to Jesus.  That is the reason why some people believe that Moses and Elijah will be the two witnesses.  The transfiguration can be found in Matthew 17:1-9, Mark 9:2-10, and Luke 9:28-36.
