"REPLY TO PATTI C. -- THE SONS OF GOD & DAUGHTERS OF MEN"

In your 3/17 post at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/march2012/pattic317-1.htm you stated the following:

"Strong's Concordance, page 1676, G5043 states:
Tekcon (is the Greek word for daughter) which means “from the base of G5098; a child
G5098 states: “timoria”, vindication (through implication); penalty: -
punishment
."

You also then stated:
"We see that the word “daughters”, in Greek, means: female children produced as a punishment or a penalty; as vindication of wrong doing. "

Please go back and reread your Strong Concordance.  I have the New Strong Exhaustive Concordance which says that the Greek word G4043 is taken from the base of G5088 and not G5098 as you claimed.  Here is a link to the meaning of G5043 at http://studybible.info/strongs/G5043  and here is the meaning of the Greek word 5088 that it was taken from http://studybible.info/strongs/G5088, and it has nothing to do with a punishment or a penalty which is G5098 at
http://studybible.info/strongs/G5098

You then stated the following:

"In the entire Bible, there are about 2000 verses where the word “men” is used, but only about 100 have the same meaning as in the phrase “daughters of men”. Thus, it figures that these are very specific men. These are a special group of “men”, whose bloodline began before the Flood, and continued, even after the Flood."
Strong’s Concordance, page 1462, H120 and H119 states:
H120 states:
“adam” from H119; ruddy i.e. a human being (an individual or the species of mankind, etc.): -- another, hypocrite, common sort, low, man, mean man, man of low degree, person.
H119 states:
“adam”; to show blood (in the face), i.e. flush or turn rosy: -- be red, dyed red, made red, ruddy."

You then stated:
"This unique definition of the word “men” describes a special breed of men those created to have flesh and blood. These men are of a ruddy complexion, red in the face with either shame or anger. They are men of low character and degree; hypocrites."

Please go to your Strong's Concorance and look up the word "man" because the Hebrew word #120 for "men" used in "the daughters of men" in Gen. 6:4 is also used for the word "man" in both Genesis 1:26, 27 and in Genesis 2:7, 2:15-18, 2:22 & 2:25 which means it is also used to describe the "man" named Adam in the following verses:

Genesis 2:7, "And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 2:15-18, "And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. "

Genesis 2:21-22, "And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man."

Genesis 2:25, "And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed."

So apparently Adam also had a ruddy, red skin as well, the Native American indians do, and so do the Nazarites according to Lamentations 4:7, " Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing [was] of sapphire:"  However, the word "ruddy" is Hebrew word #119.  But getting back to being Adam being created a "ruddy, red" color, it would stand to reason that his sons Cain, Abel, and Seth would all have the same skin color as well.  Just because a person had red skin does not necessarily mean that they are angry or ashamed all the time.  When a person has a fever, their skin can temporarily look red just like when a person blushes and their face turns red.  Just because a person was born with red skin does not mean that they have low character unless they are sinful and unsaved.

There are not just two Bible passages where "the sons of God" can be found in the Bible as you stated where the sons of God are considered angels.  There are actually four Bible passages as shown below:

Genesis 6:4, "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown."

Job 1:6, "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them."

Job 2:1, "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD."

Job 38:7, "When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?"

Job 38:7 is taken from the following passage with the Lord questioning Job:

Job 38:4-11, "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?   Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? Or [who] shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, [as if] it had issued out of the womb? When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it, And brake up for it my decreed [place], and set bars and doors, And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?"

So as you can see in Job 38:7 "the sons of God" were all the angels that were with God before the Earth was created.  However, "the sons of God" who went into the daughters of men in Gen. 6:4 and created a race of giants became the fallen angels or fallen sons of God, but not all the angels became fallen angels.  Jude 1:16 says, "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."  These were the angels or sons of God who went into the daughters of men and created the giants, but Satan wasn't chained up with them which must mean that he didn't have sex with Eve.  Otherwise, why wouldn't his punishment been the same as the fallen angels who went into the daughters of men?

As for Satan being a murderer from the beginning (John 8:44), he could be considered a murderer if he wanted Abel dead and planted the thoughts of murder into Cain's mind to murder his brother Abel.  The Bible doesn't say that Satan physically killed a man though.  You said also that Jesus Christ in John 8:44 was speaking to the Kenites in John 8:44.   However, if we back up and examine John 8:33, the men that Jesus is speaking to identify themselves as Abraham's seed; and Jesus in John 8:37 says, "I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you."   The people to whom Jesus was speaking were the physical descendants of Abraham and called themselves Abraham's seed, but the devil Satan was their father in the sense that he is their spiritual father.  Satan doesn't have to have sex with a woman in order to be a father.  Saul (Paul) called Elymas the sorcerer a child of the devil and an enemy of righteousness in Acts 13:10.  Also 1 John 3:10 says, "In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother."  So the devil Satan could be considered the father of some of the physical descendants of Abraham that Jesus was speaking to (in John 8:44) and Satan could also be Cain's father in a spiritual sense as well because they doeth not righteousness.
