Hi Alan (and John & Doves),It's interesting you bring up the year 1977 as a Harbringer year, the year the world entered a dark time. I noticed the changes that were taking place at that time also found their reflection in the arts. A striking example came from a guy named Kerry Livgren. He was a founding member and main songwriter of the (secular) band Kansas ("Dust In The Wind", "Carry On Wayward Son"). In 1977 they released an LP titled "Point Of Know Return" containing a song called "Sparks Of The Tempest". Livgren, though not a Christian at the time, gives an accurate account of what's taking place. "What is this madness that is filling the skies?"Here's the song with the lyrics written below:A mere 2 years later Livgren's long spiritual quest came to an abrupt end (after having been involved in every Eastern religion, Urantia and what have you) when he got down on his knees and asked Christ that if it was true who He claimed to be, He would show it to him. Instantly his eyes were opened to the Truth and all his questions and doubts were answered on the spot. Not being able to spread the message of salvation through his band Kansas (it became the reason for them splitting up), Livgren released a solo LP called "Seeds Of Change" in 1980. The reason I mention this is it contains a song that deals with the precise subject matter that's pressing most of our thoughts at this very moment. This has to be the most majestic song describing the coming Majesty:The lyrics:

I remember reading that the year 1977 was the year that the islamic revolution regained it's footing and political power.

It was also the time of Jimmy Carters Presidency. Notwithstanding Johnson's and Nixon's deplorable Administrations, Carter was obviously anti- Semitic and a total disaster. As a teen I knew that we had entered a dark time, and it was more than the end of childhood and the entrance into adulthood. 1976 was the last best year. Period. A wilderness had been entered. If 2016 is indeed a jubillee year, and the year The Lord comes, we can assume this has all been our wilderness experience.
