Dear Doves,
Jesus read Isaiah 61:1-2 thru this phrase: "To
proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord," Then he
stopped reading right in the middle of the Scripture, closed
the book and sat down. He then said, "Today this
scripture is fulfilled in your hearing." Luke 4:21
Here is the rest of the Scripture that He did
not read because it would be fulfilled in the
distant future:: Isaiah 61:2-3 "And the day
of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To
console those who mourn in Zion,.."
You can see the fulfillment of this Scripture in
Luke 21:22-24
Luke 21:22-24
"For these are the days of vengeance (of
our God), that all things which are written (in Isaiah
61:1-3 and Ezekiel 38 & 39) may be fulfilled."
"For there will be great tribulation in the land
(of Israel) and (God's) wrath upon this people (of Israel)."
"And Jerusalem will be trampled (tribulated) by
Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled (by
God)."
These Scriptures are speaking of the time, after
God brings the Jewish people back into their land, that He
will bring the Gog-Magog armies against Israel as His
vengeance and last punishment before He makes a new
everlasting peace covenant with Israel. And then He
will be their God and they will be His people. This will
happen in "the acceptable year of the Lord" which is a Year
of Jubilee just before the rapture of His Church. The
next acceptable year of the Lord Jubilee begins on
Nisan 1/March 2016.
Come Lord Jesus!
