Luke 21:28 says, "Now when these things BEGIN to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."

 

So, what is the FIRST THING  that we are to 'WATCH' for BEFORE our redemption?

 

Go back to Luke 21:20 which tells us what to watch for, "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near."

 

Then Luke 21:23 tells us what we will see next, "For there will be great tribulation in the land (of Israel) and wrath upon this people (of Israel)."

 

And then Luke 21:24 tells us that BEFORE our redemption we will see, "Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles UNTIL the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

 

Therefore, we are told to "watch" what happens in Israel as a 'sign' that our "redemption draws near."

 

It is a fact that Jerusalem is already "surrounded by armies" of enemies. This has been a fact since May 14, 1948. In the near future "Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles" rockets, missles and bombs in the next war  "until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

 

THEREFORE:

Immediately following the next war in Israel which will "trample Jerusalem" with rockets and missles, and "fulfill the times of the Gentiles" Luke 21:27 tells us, "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."

 

Luke 21:31 then tells us, "So you also, WHEN YOU SEE THESE THINGS HAPPENING (in Israel) know that the Kingdom of God is near,"

 

'Watch' what is happening in Israel!  We are raptured immediately after "Jerusalem is trampled by Gentiles" which is the 'tribulation in Israel event' that "fulfills the times of the Gentiles".

 

Matthew 24:29

"Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days (in Israel) the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light........Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the heaven.......and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory..."
