Dear Doves,Revelation 7:9"...................., with palm branches in their hands."What could the purpose of those "palm branches" possibly be? As far as I can find, that is the ONLY reference to any 'earthly organic thing' being in heaven in all of Scripture. I'm sure they do not bring the "palm branches" with them to heaven because a lot of people live on earth where there are no palm trees. I don't think palm trees grow in heaven.so how do those "palm branches" get to heaven? The Author of the Scripture ( I don't mean John - he is the writer) must have a very good reason to state that they are "standing before the throne and before the Lamb" "with palm branches in their hands."Could it possibly be that the Author of the Scripture wants to give us a clue to connect or link the previous Scripture to the following Scripture ?John 12:12"The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees, and went out to meet Him, and cried out:Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! the King of Israel! The day that happened is now called Palm Sunday or Day of Palms which is always the fourth day before (including the day of Passover) the Passover.Could it possibly be that the Author of the Scripture ( I don't mean Matthew - he is the writer) wants us to connect or link the previous Scripture to the following Scripture?Matthew 23:39"For I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say: Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!"I believe that the Author of the Scriptures wants us to notice a link between the people in heaven holding palm branches and the people holding palm branches on that first Day of Palms. I believe He also wants us to notice a link between what the people were saying on that FIRST Day of Palms and what Jesus said when he said, "You shall see Me no more til you say, Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." I believe that we have been informed, in the Scriptures, that our day of rapture is on a future Day of Palms.According to Your Word, come Lord Jesus!Bruce Warner
