"To Ola Ilori....on"To
Alan T"..."
Hi Ola...I was wondering if you went to
some seminary for your bible education. You sound
extremely intelligent with book learning and words that I have
heard many preachers say. However, I read what you said
twice, and I didn't understand it any more the second time than
the first time.
I don't remember what Alan T wrote that had you so concerned
with having to correct him, but if I had read that addressed to
me, I would have gotten a big lump in the pit of my belly.
Words like those are what drove me to not go to a weekly church
meeting any more. It disturbed my inner person, and I'm
sure it might have made Alan feel a bit bad for your having said
it. If the solution would have been more clear and
understandable, it would have been worth it...but it
failed. I'm not an unintelligent person, and I am fairly
well-read when it comes to the bible....but I sit here
scratching my head...??
Simpl! icity is the key:
Jesus did it all.....it is finished!!! Eph.2:8...Salvation
by grace through faith...no works.
Salvation is of spirit (instant), soul (sanctification
throughout life), and body (on death).
Read your bible...as much as possible (Basic Instructions Before
Leaving Earth = B.I.B.L.E.)
The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and show you
things to come (John 16:13). Be prepared to give a reason
for the hope that is in you (read the bible)....I Peter 3:15
Nobody knows what the job of someone else in the "body of
Christ" may be. Everyone has a different "work" to do
after they receive salvation. This determines what their
position will be when the Kingdom arrives (Rev.22:12).
This is work that you do because you love the Lord...it's almost
compelling, and it's different for everyone, but it's a
joy!! Jesus said, "My yoke is easy and my burden is
light"..Matthew 11:30. It's a shame t! hat people try to
make it so complicated and difficult.
Forgive me if I have misinterpreted you in any way. Read
more of Frank Molver's letters....delightful, short, and to the
point (with an added touch of humor at times).
YsiC,
Arlene
