Hi Robert....I really appreciate your trying to tell all the Doves to think on the good things in the Gospel and to focus on the lovely and wonderful things that salvation gives us. You have done some wonderful things for the Body of Christ (Christians) in your writings. I've read some of them when I've looked for other things on the internet. You have a wonderful heart for God.
As for me, I have not been given the same gift you have of the good, kind, loving and peaceful things pertaining to the Word of God. That's why Paul wrote I Corinthians chapter 12. Not all of us have the same gifts of the spirit. Look at the marvelous works of ALL the Doves at this site!! Some are looking at the destruction coming, some are putting numbers to it that make sense, like Ron Reese and MathMan. Others have visions to show us, some are prayerful and provide peace to all of us. And some j! ust pour their hearts out when in pain because there is someone to listen. It's the WHOLE of the "body", the arms, legs, feet, eyes, legs, etc. All are different and wonderful in their own way. And, in that way, each is a contribution to parts the others are missing.
I don't despise anyone's gift...I rejoice in each one. If everyone were like me, the whole body would be a "bloody" mess! I have been gifted with seeing things others don't want to see. I do it for them! If all were just prayerful and looking on the beauty and grace of our Lord, like you, then nothing would get learned or accomplished. Like Ecclesiastes Chapter 1 teaches about....there is a time and purpose for everything under the sun. We are now in a time when "something wicked this way comes"...and there MUST be those who are watching those areas and warning others of the danger.
Remember, my dear brother, what Proverbs 22:3 says..."A prudent man ! forseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on and are punished." By this, I am sure our Lord has put us "watchers" here to do what we love to do....because we can't NOT do it! And that is so that you don't have to.
I truly thankful for being among a group of believers who, between us all, have whatever gifts are needed at this time....and for John for allowing us to verbalize and join forces together.
With agape love,
Arlene
