Hi Donna Danna...When you responded to Patti C about her in-depth study,  you didn't understand why she said Ham committed incest with his mother.  I am totally in agreement with Patti C on this one.  Read Genesis 9:22..."And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father (uncovered his nakedness), and told his two brethren without." And then compare it with Leviticus 18:8...."The nakedness of they father's wife shalt thou not uncover; it is thy father's nakedness."  Uncovering the nakedness of a family member meant having a sexual relationship with them.  It was forbidden to do this by God.  Leviticus 18:6 says "None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness:  I am the Lord."

You also speak of th! e "pure line of Seth".  There is no such thing.  All of Adam's seed-line was corrupted except for Noah, who was "perfect in his generations"...Genesis 6:9.   Genesis 6:12 says that "all flesh" was corrupted, and that's why God had to destroy all flesh on the earth except Noah...and this includes the seed line of Seth as well.  Noah was the ONLY pure "seed" line that was left in order to eventually produce the Messiah.  If God had not caused the flood, Jesus could not have been born, and that was Satan's plan. 

Now it's Satan's plan to try to destroy as many of Abraham's "seed" (through Jesus Christ) as he possibly can so that few will be saved.  It all has to do with messing up salvation through false doctrine and also destroying the flesh that God created through corrupting the DNA.  That's why Jesus told us it would be "as in the days of Noe (Noah).! "  This is also why he said "no flesh would be saved" if He didn't shorten the days.  He didn't say "lives" or "souls."  Those are the clues we are given to "dig" out...Proverbs 25:2.

BTW...The giants included Goliath, whom David slew (we all know about that one).  Most of the "ims" and "ites" (Amorites, Zamzummims (Deut.2:20), Emims, etc) were all races of the giants.  They had 6 fingers and toes like the giant in Gath...II Sam.21:20.  This was God telling us that they were MUTATIONS. It is not normal to have 6 fingers and toes.  I am of age where I remember mothers counting the fingers and toes of their newborn babies. And if they counted 5 on each hand and toe, they would say, "Thank God he/she is normal."  I didn't understand what was meant by that back then, but I sure do now!

I'm rather glad that you took the time and effort to criticize Patty! C. for what you thought was in error.  But God meant it for good because it caused you to learn truths you otherwise would have remained in ignorance about.  It's always good to grow in knowledge of God's Word(s).  And this is not the "milk" doctrine of basic salvation....this is "meat" doctrine of the things God wants us to dig out....increasing sanctification.
