"For Patti C..."
Hi Patti C...I know that the Book of
Enoch is not part of man's "canon" of the Bible, but I believe
God specifically pointed out to us in Jude 1:14 that we should
pay attention to what Enoch wrote about. Without that
information, little is known about the fallen angels and what
happened during that time. We are also told to pay
attention to the Book of Jasher...see Joshua 10:13 and II Sam
1:18. I also found out in the Book of Jubilees that God
"shut the mouths of the animals"....and that brought to my mind
how the "serpent" in the garden could actually communicate with
Eve. People determined those books weren't
"inspired"....but what did God say about them? By the way,
Strong's Concordance is not "inspired", but we sure do use it a
lot, don't we?
I love the detail you include in your studies...especially about
the Garden of Eden. However, when you say that the "sons
of God" are the same in the OT ! and the NT, I feel I must
correct this error. We all know about the "sons of God" in
Job 1:6, 2:1, and 38:7. And basically, it's very simple to
define them correctly. In the Bible, the first "son of
God" in this present world was Adam, as he was directly created
by God. The next "sons of God" in the Bible were the
fallen angels, as they were also the direct creations of
God. Then, in the NT, the "sons of God" are those who are
saved by the Blood of Jesus. They are an "indirect"
spiritual creation of God. Anything thought out very
basically is closer to the truth. Sons of Cain, or Seth,
or any mortal man cannot be called "sons of God" because they
are sons of Men at birth.
Otherwise, you are doing great research work, and I really enjoy
reading all those posts....
