Hi John, RJ2, and any Doves interested in the 144,000...

I couldn't let this one go tonight because there were so many unanswered questions.  I checked almost a half dozen sites for information obtained by studying the 144,000.  One thing I did notice is that in this link a word was changed in Rev.7:3.....this one has "on their foreheads".  My bible, a KJV as "in their foreheads".  I also have a 1599 Geneva Bible...this one also has "in their foreheads".  So, this "seal" is IN their foreheads, unless someone has proof that is different.  This is the only link that made any sense...except it has the "on" instead of "in" (which is wrong).

This is an idea, in addition to the above informati! on: (I'll duck in case someone wants to throw stones at me)

There are two groups of people in Revelation that there is much questioning about.  One is the "two witnesses" (two olive trees and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth...Rev.11:4).  The other group is the 144,000 of Rev.7 and 14.  Both these groups go through the 1260 days, or 42 months.  Both are taken up to the throne of God before God's wrath hits the earth.  Both are special groups because both are "numbered"....one is "two" and one is 144,000.  The rest of the people who are taken up are without number...multitudes....but no specific number.

The only people alive during the 1260 days are unsaved Jews, the Laodicean church, and unsaved Gentiles.  The 144,000 has to contain some of those people.  Suppose the 144,000 are actually the "two witnesses".....the "two candlesticks" symbolize the! church; the two olive trees symbolize the Jews.  There is no sealing of the unsaved Gentiles....BUT, there could be sealing of some of the Laodicean church and newly saved Jews (Messianic now).  These people missed the rapture, but they are now God's witnesses.

Well, guys, it makes sense to me!  I've never heard it said this way before....but maybe some of you know this but didn't want to come out with it.  I couldn't care less if anyone ridicules me.  I've been wrong many times in the past, and I've learned from my mistakes.  So, I'll just lay it out there and leave it open for ideas as to why or why not this could be the answer...
