quandry, a question ""
Patrick,
What comes to mind by your observation of denominational sect
behavior is Pr. 23 : 7 " For as he thinketh in his heart, so is
he..."
We are basically a result of all we have learned and
experienced. If this sum is combined with faith, truth,
knowledge and experience gained through the " school of hard
knocks " of the indwelling Spirit of God. And as we agree with
His word, weigh all things with wisdom and biblical
rationalization, then we think( in part) with His mind, through
the Spirit, basically.
Every thought and calculation and judgement and decision is
factored through His word and truth brought to our remembrance
through the indwelling Spirit. We are basically one of The
Lord's" Judges", a son, or daughter, the image of our Father.
Of course we still think imperfectly according to our fleshly
passions about things of the world we do not fully
understand, and we sometimes are/ can get contemptuous about sin
and lawlessness, which is a natural reaction. We are and will
not ever be perfect until glorified in a incorruptible body.
But if we believe that because we Love Him and His word and
purpose within ourselves to resist the sin that we have learned
is a snare and a deception, we trust he is with us and will be
for us.
