In 1977, together with some clerics from
Qom and Tehran, he established the Jame'ye Rouhaniyat
Mobarez (Combatant Clerics Association) which became
the basis of the Islamic Republic Party.
It was also the time of Jimmy Carters
Presidency. Notwithstanding Johnson's and Nixon's
deplorable Administrations, Carter was obviously anti-
Semitic and a total disaster. As a teen I knew
that we had entered a dark time, and it was more than
the end of childhood and the entrance into adulthood.
1976 was the last best year. Period. A wilderness had
been entered. If 2016 is indeed a jubillee year, and
the year The Lord comes, we can assume this has all
been our wilderness experience.
