It may amaze and alarm some to know that the Mark of the Beast [though not under that name,

of course] was fictionally portrayed on screen in a blockbuster mainstream movie.

 

In the opening minutes of "Casino Royale," starring Dame Judi Dench, Daniel Craig, and Eva

Green (among others), James Bond is caused to receive a rice-grain sized electronic implant.

 

This will act as a tracking device.  Sound familiar?
