Can some yet future prophecies still possibly have any dual fulfillments?Like possibly describing some things before Jesus returns, which could be describing some things at the end of the kingdom? For instance, some of the things in Ezekiel 38-39.
Ezekiel 38:11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
Some people consider that this is referring to Israel living peacefully under the Abraham Accords, after the defeat of Iran and its proxies, prior to the return of Jesus.Maybe that is a possible description of the peace and safety prior the return of Jesus. But what if it "also" is describing how Israel is living towards the end of the thousand year kingdom? So, if that celestial chief prince, Gog, moves nations against Israel, before Jesus returns, does he not also do the same again, after the devil is let out of the bottomless pit?Ezekiel 38:8 mentions, "in the latter years", and if the latter years refers to the time before Jesus returns, then wouldn't a thousand more years also be considered "latter"?
Isn't there also some parallelism with the beast coming up out of the bottomless pit, then after a thousand years the devil does the same thing?
Also, if the nations are angry and hate Israel now, how much more after Israel being the chief of nations for a thousand years? What may many of those born during the thousand years, who never believe on Jesus, even though he will be right there, on earth, in Jerusalem, think about Israel? Will they be envious of Israel's status and wealth? Will they hold a grudge against Israel, for what happened to their ancestors at Armageddon and the valley of Jehoshaphat? Will they be descendants of those who used to live in areas where Israel will be dwelling? When the devil comes out of the bottomless pit, will their thoughts be enflamed by envy, vengeance, covetousness, and hatred?
When the devil is cast out of heaven in Revelation 12, his angels are cast out with him.So, when he goes into the bottomless pit, do they, go in there with him, only to come back up with him, after the thousand years, including the chief prince, Gog?If, for a thousand years, evil spirits, fallen angels, and the devil, will not be affecting the minds of men, the earth will be far more peaceful than it is now. But, if they are all let loose, after the thousand years, it will be similar to, but even much worse than, when all the locusts with stingers came out, before Jesus returned. Then the minds of men will be grievously afflicted with horrible thoughts and temptations. That may be how the devil coordinates all of them, to move so many people, simultaneously, to compass the camp of the saints.
Jesus is God manifest in the flesh, and he knows all things, and he will certainly know when the devil is loosed, and what begins to happen. He will not be surprised, nor blindsided, but he will be fully aware of what will be happening. Will Jesus warn those in the world not to follow that growing movement of evil? Will he maybe allow plagues, or judgments, in various places, to give space to some to repent, while yet hardening the hearts of those who will not? When some nations stop coming to the feast of tabernacles, will that be early on in the thousand years, or towards the end?
Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Immediately after the tribulation, and the return of Jesus, will the survivors in the nations, who never took the mark of the beast, be rebellious at that time?Or will it be their grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc, who will become rebellious? So, after sheep and goat nations judgment, when Jesus returns, will those remaining be rather subdued?Perhaps, the rod of iron, that Jesus rules with, will be used as necessary, more after time goes on, and even more so, towards the end of the thousand years?
Apparently, not all the people of the nations take part in coming against the camp of the saints, in Revelation 20:8-9, to be consumed by fire from heaven.Because, there will be nations in the eternal state, on the new earth:
Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
So, maybe plagues and judgments, towards the very end of the thousand years, could have a similar effect like what happened in Egypt, to harden hearts.Yet also, like with the preaching of Jonah, where Nineveh repented, will there not be people among the nations, that join not in the assault, and will not be consumed?
Additionally, at the return of Jesus, Edom is judged, and is the effect of this judgment beheld by people during the thousand years? And yet, is that similar to the lake of fire "after" the great white throne judgment?
After the return of Jesus?
Isaiah 66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
Isaiah 34:5 For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.
8 For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.
9 And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.
12 They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there, and all her princes shall be nothing.
After the white throne judgment?
Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Can some yet future prophecies still possibly have any dual fulfillments, or at least similarities and parallelisms?
