"To Doves who believe in a 7 year tribulation"

To Doves who believe in a 7-year tribulation.

Prior to year 2000, I also believed in a 7-year tribulation. My belief was founded on books, CD’s, video’s written by MAN (pastors, bible scholars, eschatologists, etc.,) about God’s Word. Then in 1999, I discovered that I had let myself be deceived, by taking the easy way out. I had blindly accepted the teachings of MAN about a 7-year tribulation.  I had not been a GOOD BERAN! The apostle Paul says in Acts 17:10-12KJV: 10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.12herefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

2 Timothy 3:16 is another great scripture to remember when studying the scriptures.

2 Timothy 3:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Timothy 2:15 is a commandment from God. God did not say to read the scriptures.  Studying the scriptures takes a lot of work, hence word “workman”. Those who study God Word instead of just reading it are called workmen,

2 Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

With the scriptures above in mind, let’s look at Daniel 9:24-27.

Daniel 9:24-27

King James Version

24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come (Titus) shall destroy the city and the sanctuary (fulfilled in 70AD); and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Note that our Messiah, was cutoff/crucified AFTER the 69th week (7+62=69).  What did the angel Gabriel mean when he said: our Messiah would be cutoff AFTER 69 weeks?

1.      Did Gabriel mean immediately after the start of the 69thofweek ?

2.      Did Gabriel mean after the first half of the 69th was fulfilled?

3.      Did Gabriel mean after the entire 69th week was fulfilled?

If Gabriel meant immediately after the start of the 69th week, then this would mean that be all of the 69 week and all the 70th week remains to be fulfilled. Since each represents 7 years, the total years remaining to be fulfilled would be 14 years.

If Gabriel meant after the first half of the 69th had been fulfilled, then half of the 69th week and all of the 70th week remains to be fulfilled. The total years remaining to be fulfilled would be 3 ½ plus 7 = 10 ½ years

If Gabriel meant after the entire 69th had been fulfilled, then only half of the 70th remains to be fulfilled. The total years remaining to be fulfilled would be the second half of the 70th week or 3 ½ years.

Note that Daniel 12:7 explicitly states: ”that it shall be for a time, times, and an half or 3 1 /2 years”.

NOTE that Daniel12:11 explicitly states: ” from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days”.

6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

What is glaring missing when the man on one side of the river asked the man over the river how much time is left before the end, is any reference to a 7-year tribulation, or 2,520 days, or 42 months. There is also no mention of a 7-year tribulation in the book of revelation.

I rest my case; I believe I have you shown you why I believe there are only 3 ½ years of Daniel’s 70th week remaining to be fulfilled! I believe those who still believe in a 7-year tribulation have been listening to MAN instead studying GOD’S WORD.

GOD”S BLESS,
