As I hit 'send' for my first letter on 'Just A Thought On The 'Peace and Safety' letter - I received a Alertsusa text:

 

"Domestic and int'l news outlets reporting Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is dead.  No official confirmation from US, Israeli, or Iranian govs."

 

"As of February 28, 2026, Khamenei is reported dead from joint U.S.-Israeli airstrikes targeting his Tehran compound in a major operation aimed at regime change.  Multiple Israeli officials, sources cited by Reuters, CNN, AP Fox News, and other confirm his death, with some stating his body was found and Netanyahu noting "growing signs" he is "gone".  However, Iranian officials, including the Foreign Minister, insist he is alive and "commanding the field" or "safe and sound".

 

Is Khamenei really dead - due to the bombing on his compound?  Or was he squirreled away somewhere in a deep tunnel with his nuclear warheads and ICBMs?
