I believe the gap started on 10 Nisan, or the Jews were informed of it on 10 Nisan.  Jesus told the Jews they missed the visitation of God and if they'd only known that on this day, they could have had peace...but they missed Him and they didn't know.  So I believe this resulted in the insert of what's called the Time of the Gentiles.

Something changed on that day.  I think it was the timeline.  As what happened that day was HUGE.

Just my thoughts on this!  Thank you for your question about this.  Maybe others have some thoughts too.
