From “Outside of Time” and HIDDEN MYSTERIES AND THE BIBLE by LARRY OLLISON
God Is the Only Time Traveler.
How does God predict the Great Tribulation, the millennium, the judgments, and all the prophecies in the Bible with such accuracy that His predictions are not just close, but 100 percent correct?
Although the future hasn't happened yet for you and me, God has already been there. You have free choice, and nothing affects your choices but you. Every created being has free choice-the devil, the angels, and mankind. No living beings are programmed robots; rather, they are beings with free choice.
However, this raises a possible paradox. How can we have free choice, yet the future is established so firmly that God can accurately predict every event? Actually, it's not a paradox. God can move forward into the future and view the choices you will make without affecting your ability to choose.
You are living out your own choices. God has foreknowledge, not fore-control, and not fore-manipulation. He simply knows in advance what you're going to do without affecting your choice to do it. Your life is not predestined. He simply inserts Himself into the timeline and views the result.
Very clearly, God is not restricted by time; however, in this dispensation, we are.
—Outside of time
The Lord is the Lord of time and space. He created it. Somehow, in ways beyond our perception, what we see as future, He sees as now. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that what we see as present, present and future, He sees as ALWAYS. In other words, He hasn’t simply seen the future, He has been there.
The Lord lives in the eternal present. He exists in a non-temporal level. He is the future right now. Or as He said to Moses, “I AM that I AM.”
We use the word eternal in a rather cavalier way, as though we really understand what it means. Actually, we don’t. In fact, we don’t understand eternity anymore than we understand the Creator. The Lord doesn’t just see the future, He is the future. In other words to see the future, you must be the future.
