2 Timothy 4
Preach the word of God.
Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not.
Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.
For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching.
They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.
They will reject the truth and chase after myths.
As for me…I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.
And now the prize awaits me--the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return.
And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.
Someone said that in the New Testament, 50 times we are told to watch and be ready for the Lord's return.
Paul tells us in his last words that a crown of righteousness is given to all those who are eagerly looking forward to Jesus' return for his Bride, the Church.
To tell the truth, I'm not seeing to many groups around me who want to talk about the return of Christ because it's prophecy.
Many say, "Let's stay away from 1/4 of the Bible because it causes division and who could understand it."
Personally, I'm going for the crown of righteousness and not discarding a quarter of God's Word.
The return of Jesus in the book of Titus, is called our, “Blessed Hope.”
Revelation 1:3 (NLT) God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.
