"Re: Gino and "good to go""

Hi, Gino -

I've never seen any passage that says personal "goodness" has anything to do with the rapture.  Just like being saved in the first place, you don't have to be "good enough."  This is not earned.

Rather, it's accepted by faith.  I still think Rev. 3:10 is a rapture passage, and if I am correct, then one must simply keep Jesus command to persevere.  We are called to be faithful; that is, to take God at His word and live out our faith-based belief.

We all know people who claim to be Christians who pooh-pooh the rapture.  In fact, some of them pooh-pooh the Lordship of Christ.  I still think that even those can be raptured, but when the Lord they claim to believe in calls them to "come up hither" (Rev. 4:1) they will be TERRIFIED to see their Holy God face-to-face.  And they will demur.  So I think all believers are called and invited, but some will "shrink back" when He appears.

"Partial rapture" is discussed here: - you may find some of this info helpful.
