"ANOTHER REASON WHY I THINK MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT IS ROME & NOT MECCA (fivedoves.com)"

Hi John and Doves,

Donna Danna (March 3, 2024)

ANOTHER REASON WHY I THINK MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT IS ROME & NOT MECCA (fivedoves.com)

Hi Donna,

What I would like to make clear, is that the Biblical interpretation of Daniel and Revelation—that I write about—is meant for our contemporary world situation and current affairs; it is not applicable to the first century when Rome was paramount, or even the 19th Century when European Empires (descendant from Western-Rome) still prowled the New World.  John’s Revelation has been applied to many epochs during New Testament times! It was applied to Nero, long before a Pope appeared on the scene; it was applied to the Holy Roman Empire; the Reformation clerics applied it to Rome, and Rome applied it to Protestants in return! Thus the Apocalypse is able to suit the events of a particular era in history, but in the end time, I believe that its underlying intention (previously hidden in obscure symbolism), is to show what will happen just before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ starts the denouement (consummation—Dan. 9:27b) after the two-millennia long Gentile age that ends with the battle between God’s trinity and the Dragon, the Beast, and the False Prophet.

For instance, some of Jesus’ statements may have secondary fulfilments, like John 2:19 ‘Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.’ Then John wrote ‘But He was speaking of the temple of His body.’ BUT what if he wasn’t… what if he was also referring to the third day in Hosea 6:2 ‘Come and let us return to the LORD; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight. i.e., as His living temple (1 Cor. 3:16)

The end-time interpretations of apocalyptic literature that are being revealed today, (as a result of historical political and territorial divisions in the Middle East), would never have occurred to the commentators of scripture in the 18th and 19th centuries who had absolutely no idea of how Europe and the rest of the world would be changed and carved up as a result of two world wars in the 20th Century; nor would they have a clue about the problems arising among the western nations during the 21st century as they face the revival of radical Islam from within the ranks of 1.2+ billion Muslim adherents dotted around the world.

However, these old and outdated interpretations about Rome still appear to be in vogue with Dispensationalists today, who point blame for end time events towards the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church that no longer has any temporal power, armies or major influence over either the U.N. or world affairs. These old interpreters who were stuck in a groove of hatred for Rome, (on which much commentary is still based today), had no foresight into how Islam could become heir to Rome’s legacy via the Ottoman Empire in 1453 until 1918, or how quickly multiple independent Muslim Nations could wield such powerful influences among the United Nations after the 1950’s, or how Islamist mercenaries could infiltrate the western countries on earth during the last few decades to create documented chaos through terrorism while chanting Al·lahu Akbar! Neither could they have prescient knowledge of the vast movements of 281 million migrants internationally during the last 50 years (3.6% of the world’s population), resulting in another dire mixture of cultures and nationalities that are once again weakening the old ‘iron’ of Western-Rome style Governments who until October 7, 2023, seemed blissfully unaware they are repeating the same mistakes of the past, which led to the decline and fall of the Roman Empire!

Today, the most astonishing omissions in modern Biblical commentary and a vacuum in practical understanding of world affairs—all relate to Islam!  There is absolute ignorance (or blindness) in commentators’ failure to see that idolatrous , religious, and militant SUNNI and SHIA Islamism (in numerous Muslim countries that are armed to the teeth with western-style weapons), is the real End time enemy of God and of His people, not a Church that has no arms and no territory outside of the Vatican. (Ex. 20:3 applies to Islam… not to the Pope… You shall have no other gods before me.)

The end time denouement of the everlasting conflict on that great day will be between:

·       Yahweh, God almighty, versus the counterfeit dragon (Satan, that old serpent);

·       the two sons of Abraham over the birth-right and land: Isaac versus Ishmael;

·       the woman (true Israel) who is clothed with the sun whose child was caught up to heaven versus the harlot (Mystery Babylon) who brought forth her harlot daughters;

·       the worshippers of Yahweh versus the idolaters who worship another god Allah;

·       the two great cities: Holy Jerusalem versus Mecca/Babylon;

·       the saints of God and servants of Jesus versus the followers of Allah and Muhammad;

·       the truth of the Bible versus the deceit in the Quran;

·       finally, the great battle between the King of Kings versus the Dragon’s armies led by the Beast and the False Prophet.

This is the enduring conflict that is portrayed throughout the Bible in both texts and visions.

There is a whole lot more at stake in this end time conflict than who imports or exports frankincense!
