There are two Passover New Testament miracles and both point to departure, "passing over" into another phase.
The resurrection of Lazarus in John 11 after he had been dead 4 days contains two anchors tying the event to just days before Passover.. Verse 55 specifically states "The Jews Passover was nigh at hand ". And again, Verse 9 " Jesus answered Are there not twelve hours in the day ? " Since the Equinox is the exact day on which there are exactly 12 hours in a day (and 12 hours of night) and this day just precedes Passover we can see a direct connection of Lazarus coming alive and Passover.
A second miracle, the first miracle, is the wedding in Cana. "And the Jews Passover was at hand " John 2 :13. Verse 2:1 "And the THIRD day there was a marriage in Cana of Gallilee ". This reminds me of Hosea 6:2.... "....On the THIRD day He will raise us up....."
Third day from what ? The end of winter, the equinox, takes place 3 days before the Jewish sacred new year begins on Nisan 1.... And a miracle of turning water into wine at a marriage might be a "type", an image, of things to come. Nisan 1 is March 22-23. It also appears to be the first day of a Jubilee year , the 50th year on the Jewish calendar. See the link for more on the Jubilee , 50th year.
