"Luke 19:44 -- Does it point to our DEPARTURE TIMING ?"

Luke 19:44 (b) Jesus Christ speaking ... "because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation...." The people of Israel,,... 2000 years ago for the most part were not looking and did not care if or when Messiah was coming.

The statement itself implies that they "should have" known , for the exact time and date of Messiah's coming had been given to them in Daniel 9:24-27.

The Gentile Church today ... is it any different ? Does the statement EXPOSING Jewish lack of interest 2000 years ago..... point to the time frame  that a "lackluster", disinterested Gentile Church will literally sleep through ? Yet Daniel 9:24-27 deals with both first and second coming - both dates........ ? ?

Year 1944 (Luke 19:44) is now 56 + 23 = 79 years. Psalm 90:10.... says " and if... fourscore years... and we fly away"  (Fourscore is 80)
