Perhaps you hadn't yet gotten to see some of the stuff buried further down in that link to The Flip is Near!, but it had some hideous stuff in it, from clif's Newsletter:

One year after the Soviet union fell, I had the opportunity to visit a friend who went to be a missionary in Ukraine, 6 months earlier, in the city of Kiev.

There were a lot of ex-KGB, there, who were out of work.

A number of them got saved, and their lives dramatically changed.

Others, remained in the dark, and grew bitter.

For example, there was an ex-KGB who had offered himself to do translation work for the missionary, and tried to convince me of a strange conspiracy.

He said that the children who were afflicted drinking the milk, were not victims of the lingering radiation from Chernobyl a few years earlier, not too far away.

But he tried to convince me that Jews from Ukraine went to Brooklyn, and from there they targeted Ukrainian children, sending bad milk back to Ukraine, to killing the children.

I was deeply troubled, and even angry, upon hearing that.

Apparently he bought into the other conspiracies, like the Protocols.

I tried to tell him that a few decades earlier, it was when people believed those same terrible things, that they had no problem turning over Jews to the Nazis.

Oddly enough, Babi Yar was not very far from where we were, and that had happed only 40 years prior.

He refused to consider it, and instead associated himself with the Russian Память Society.

Sadly, he was not alone.
