"pretty upset with his message"

(They were pretty upset with what had been preached:)

Jeremiah 26:11 Then spake the priests and the prophets unto the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is worthy to die; for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your ears.

(There had been a preacher, some years back, who preached a message, "God damn America".
He may have had the same first name as the prophet, yet the similarities didn't go too much beyond that.
However, there were very many, who had never even heard the message, yet were offended, beyond measure, at the title of the message.
I also never had any intention of listening to the man's preaching, but the title also slapped me in the face, too.
However, will the LORD's fury ever turn against America?
Will all the innocent blood of the 60+ million babies slain while still in their mother's wombs, ever fully come up before the face of the LORD?
What about the Sodomy which is now pervasive throughout society, taught to children, celebrated, and even protected in marriage by the supreme court?
What about the trans mutilation and education of the very young children?
Or worse yet, many of us Christians either secretly sinning, or at least being entertained by people sinning all the time on tv, movies, or the internet?
Also, are the souls of the victims of crimes, or the victims of the sins mentioned above, are those souls currently praying, "God bless America"?
Why should the LORD currently bless America?
Would it not be better, if first, we, his people, repent, and then beseech the LORD to grant repentance to the nation, before he turns his fury upon it?
Seriously, why pray for national blessing up to the moment of judgment, instead of praying for national repentance, to avoid judgment?
It would be terrible if we secretly believe that judgment upon America will absolutely not happen until after the blessed hope, when we are all safe in heaven.
That, then, "Go ahead, LORD, let 'em have it, now that we're out of harms way!"
Nineveh repented, and avoided judgment, even though Jonah did not seem too pleased.)
