Hi John and Doves,
Hosea 6 is incredibly revealing. The entire short chapter appears to be pointing toward Easter time with words that appear to refer to the crucifixion of our LORD Jesus - His resurrection on the 3rd day. Hosea 6:1 - Come, let us return to the LORD. For He has torn us to pieces, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bind up our wounds. 6:2 - After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His presence. 6:3 - So let us press on to know the LORD. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rain, like the spring showers that water the earth. So - the end of winter, beginning of spring?
The reference to our LORD's resurrection 'on the third day' is unmistakeable. The reference to winter AND spring showers points to the time of year that we are entering. The entire chapter is linked below and is a real eye-opener. For me - this scripture lays out the timing of end time events.
On our western calendars, Good Friday is April 7th with Resurrection Sunday falling on April 9th. April 9th falls on the fourth day of Passover.
