Lisa - your excellent post linked below. With the Purim blood moons coming up in 2024/25/26, it's clearly evident that Purim is key for the end times. As you pointed out - Almighty God is 'hidden' in the story but His Hand is obviously guiding events. The story of Purim really rams it home that our actions, as humans, are key to the outcome. The only way to thrive is to walk with God. The message to all of us......we only win when we trust and obey Almighty God.
Which is why the Holocaust takes up much of my research. The events of the Holocaust were pure evil. Even now, I find it difficult to process. The only answers I can find are in Deuteronomy 32: 20-22 where Almighty God says He will hide His face from them. Ezekiel 39:29 tells us He will no longer hide His face from them. Although God is not mentioned in the Purim story, His presence and guidance is obvious. With the Holocaust, Almighty God is hidden completely. Until 1947/48 when the Jewish people were allowed back into the Holy Land. Those tragic years must count for something, surely? They must have some profound purpose. Other than hitting the headlines - calling the world's attention to the rebirth of Israel and the horrific tragedy that got them to that point. The whole world was made hyper aware of the Jewish tragedy and the rebirth of Israel. It was THAT dramatic. This cannot be the sole purpose of the Holocaust. The Jewish people were suffering judgement before being given another chance back in the Holy Land.
Purim is all about redemption through turning back to God. It is the ONLY way we will know peace in this world.
