1 Cor 10:31 (6 Mar 2022)
"So... ladies!!"

By 1 Cor 10:31

You know how it is!!  And what a job it can sometimes be….. to not come off as “Mrs. Job”!!!   I’ve done my fair of griping and complaining over the years when things didn’t go smoothly …. the way I’d ideally hoped they would!

So my last words to my dear husband before I left today to run errands:  “Listen, I know you want to replace that kitchen faucet today.  But…. Just saying’…..  I’d be much, much happier if you’d wait & do it tomorrow!!  And allow me to get those dirty dishes out of both sinks first!  And get stuff out from under the cabinet.  But…. Your choice!   Though Honey, I’d really, really, I mean R E A L L Y  like it better if you’d wait till tomorrow!!”   Smiles….

With that, I left…… allowing him to you know – thump that manly chest…. let him make the decision!!

Fast forward some 3 hours later….. wanna’ guess the MESS I came home to???  Stuff scattered EVERYWHERE on the floor (too much kept under the cabinet!!)   Water dripping far worse than it was….. his playing plumber not working out too well…..

So I grit my teeth, glad I’d already eaten while out…..  as if I had to cook ….  when I couldn’t even FIND the store!!  Grrr!!!!

And I think to myself:  I am surely going to win an Emmy if I don’t say what I’m thinking!!!!   [Ladies!!  Know how difficult that is???]

I spend probably 80% or better of my life in my general kitchen/dining area generalized area not only cooking but paying bills here… folding laundry at the table, etc. etc. ….. and to have it in complete disarray does not make for a happy wife…..

I spend the next 2 hours shining the flashlight under the sink so he can see what he’s doing.  He’s been to the hardware/lumber store – no, not kidding!!  FOUR times today!!

He’s a good husband, a fantastic friend, a wonderful guy all around.  But he should really stick to his area of expertise.   From squatting under the sink for the past 4 hours, he’s gonna’ have a whopper of a backache!!  He’s tried, he’s really tried.  And thank goodness for you-tube.  Though we now have not only a drippy faucet (what he was fixing to start with)  but now dripping heavily under the sink too.

So everything’s a giant mess.  Now in the morning I don’t know how I’m going to put the dog’s meal together – much less ours!!

I now need a plumber to repair what my husband fixed!!   LOL!!~

What’s this got to do with Bible prophecy?  Nada, zero, zilch!!

Just figured some of my Christian sisters would “get it”!!  And maybe enjoy a needed chuckle.  😊

Boy, sometimes …. what a job it is to NOT be Mrs. Job!!
